ABOUT WATARU

Wataru is an edomae-style sushi restaurant located on the ground floor of Saxe Building in Ravenna, Seattle. Opened in November 2015. The focus of Wataru's sushi is on classic tradition and the use of quality ingredients with a strong emphasis on the finest, local and imported seasonal seafood from “Toyosu fish Market” in Tokyo, contributing to a completely unique and authentic dining experience. The restaurant offers Omakase (chef’s choice) sushi options and a list of premium sake, beers, and wines paired specifically for the sushi. In addition, Wataru features a restrained wood sushi bar (without regular sushi fish case) and décor oftentimes found in high-end-sushi restaurants in Tokyo but rarely seen in the United States. Our goal is to share with diners, sophisticated or novice, an authentic and enjoyable sushi experience when they eat at Seattle's Wataru.
